How to share an eKey to a new user

After you have set up a new Device (Lock or Controller) you can get started inviting other users:

Note: Only owners and admins can create and share new eKeys.

1. Click on the settings cog wheel of the device 
2. Next click on 'Users' which is located bottom right of the devices control / settings page 

Note: If you are next to and connected to the device the Verroo app will list out all the users registered in the device. 
If you are away from the device you can still generate and send an eKey!

5. Next click 'New user +' up the top right hand side. 
6. Now enter a name and mobile number or select from contacts. 
7. Next choose the permissions.

Normal 
You can apply start and end dates/times and time of day, day of week restrictions to Normal users. 
Admins 
Are unrestricted users who can issue eKey's to 'Normal' users and when nearby a lock, can also delete 'Normal' users.
2 x Owners 
Device 'Owners' can delete both Admins and Normal users. Please make sure you have set up 2 x Owners for back up and restore purposes.  

8. When your eKey is ready to send, you can choose to extend the expiry time out. The Expiry provides the length of time the user has to enroll the eKey in the device. It is highly advisable to modify this setting if there is a change the user will not register within 24Hrs. 

9. Next select how to send the eKey.

If the user is right next to you, Share eKey on-screen is easy. The user receiving the eKey can follow these simple instructions to scan their new eKey off your phone. 

Otherwise to send remotely, Send eKey link over SMS. This will generate a text message containing the eKey. The recipient can simply download the Verroo app and then click the link. Otherwise they can copy and paste it into their app following these simple instructions.
